I have not been able to personally inspect the work done because I live in another state; however, the technicians provided me with numerous pictures of the work performed. Since I had pictures of the project before it commenced, I must say that the crew did an outstanding job.

My brother was found dead in the basement of his house after 28 days. State Farm Insurance Company was contacted to clean-up from the death and remove the decomposition damage. Aftermath was found of the internet and was suggested to State Farm Insurance for their services. State Farm Claim Agent stated Aftermath was not on their approved list. They recommended to use Servpro. Later we found out that Aftermath has done many projects with State Farm Insurance.
Servpro came on site to start the cleanup process. We had several issues with them. I decided to terminate the contract with Servpro after one day and a walkthrough with the local owner.
I immediately contacted Aftermath about the situation and our concerns. Aftermath showed up the next day and immediately started their services. Later State Farm was approved to continue the project after my conversation with Greg the project associate. Then Greg Moffett, Project Associate communicated with our State Farm Claim Agent.
After talking to Greg Moffett, Project Associate from Aftermath on the telephone our confidence level was increased that the job would be done right. He stated he felt that there were some OSHA violations and proper removal protocol was not done properly.
The team of three professionals (Jeff Boland, Project Manager, Technicians Dokota Veanus and Jennifer Nagy) when they arrived the next day assessed the situation and outlined a plan of action. Aftermath took photos and always documented before starting, during the project and at the end of each day. We worked with them removing personal property and furniture from the site. Protective clothing was worn when in the contaminated area.
After all the personal belongs and furniture was removed the team did removal of wallpaper, carpeting and other floor coverings. The ceiling tiles were removed, too. Then the areas was professionally cleaned three times. Keep in mind not all unattended death biohazard projects require this type process and detail cleanup work.
During the entire project the team members acted in a professional matter, willing to assist us and followed their protocol. I was given a booklet on their protocol. And will be provided copies of the photos they have taken. They worked long hours as we did not stay on site all the time as they were responsible enough to be given keys to the property.
I am a Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience and my husband is a Retired Manager/Facilities Manager. We both understand some protocols for this type of work and how to run a project.
We surely wish that Aftermath would have started this project then the protocol may have been different. The project would have taken less time and cost less. The house was cleaned so we can enter without odors and health risk. Thanks to Aftermath and its team.
